Your first hour

Talk to it

Type or speak. Voice goes through a wake gate — it listens continuously but only acts on speech addressed to it, and a phrase that does not clear the gate is discarded rather than quietly answered. See Voice.

Watch it ask

The first time you ask it to write a file or run a command, it will stop and ask. That prompt is the product working, not the product being cautious. You can widen the defaults later; the point is that widening them is a decision you make rather than one made for you.

Give it something to remember

Tell it something about how you work. Then start a new session and ask about it. What comes back was recalled, not retained in a context window — the difference is that it still works next week. See Memory.

Leave it alone

Come back and look at what it did while you were gone. Nothing it does unattended escapes the budget or the permission gate; see Autonomy for the two gates every unattended action passes through first.
